Che cos’è la violenza? Cinque interviste a Massimo Fagioli 2020-01-22T12:06:57+00:00 Massimo Fagioli
This paper collects a number of interviews with the psychiatrist Massimo Fagioli edited by the journalists Ilaria Bonaccorsi and Elisa Liberatori Finocchiaro between 2010 and 2016. The psychiatrist, author of the Human Birth Theory, criticizes widespread ideas which have always affirmed original human violence and women’s innate inferiority. These ideas have largely contributed to confuse love with domination and abuse. Fagioli instead invites us to recognise the underlying mental illness concealed in episodes of violence against women and to consider a new idea of sexuality as a non conscious rapport between human beings which are at the same time different and equal.
2020-01-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020 L'Asino d'oro edizioni Dalla parte delle vittime: giustizia e prevenzione. Il caso di Sara Di Pietrantonio 2020-01-17T10:24:23+00:00 Barbara Pelletti Stefania Iasonna
This article deals with the lawsuit of a young woman killed by her ex-partner by analysing the courts record’s process. This case has been a turning point in the Italian jurisdiction with regards to gender based violence. The reason lies in the explicit recognition of stalking psychological violence as matrix of homicidal ideation. The objective of the authors is to highlight the symbolic and therefore preventive value of these judgements which identify in abuse and patriarchal domination experienced by the woman before the murder, a specific feature of feminicide. Cultural change, widely considered as fundamental in order to fight violence against women, can be promoted through the universal language of law which does not only condemn the single subject but the mentality embodied by the offender itself. This mentality is represented by a millenary patriarchal culture that our same legislation has being supporting until recently. Another fundamental aspect is the recognition of the objective psychological damage caused by the stalker to the victim. This is a wound which consequently impairs women’s capability to react. In order to achieve an effective prevention is necessary to raise awareness about the deep dynamics of sick relationships. This would allow to acknowledge the invisible violence hidden behind relationships lacking in affection: the negation and annulment pulsion theorised by Massimo Fagioli.
2020-01-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020 Perché Carmen non muoia il presente deve cambiare. Spunti di riflessione sul femminicidio 2020-01-17T10:27:45+00:00 Miriam Scarciglia
This article deals with the topic of feminicide. By analysing the historical and cultural roots of gender based violence, the author further investigates the underlying psychopathological dynamics. On the basis of Massimo Fagioli theory, this paper specifically examines the concept of “invisible violence” which remains often unrecognised by those who are subjected to it as it precedes physical aggression for a long time. The main tool to acknowledge this type of violence is sensitivity, experienced in human relationships. This allows to sense movements, gazes, face expressions, tones of voice which are not detected by conscious perception. All these elements, fundamental to deduce the internal reality of the other, can therefore become a real and effective defensive tool.
2020-01-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020 Donne all’alba del nuovo millennio: dalla rivendicazione dei diritti all’affermazione dei doveri riproduttivi 2020-01-17T10:42:38+00:00 Anna Pompili
During the XXth century, women’s movement and civil society fought for the recognition of gender equality and reproductive rights. This led to relevant resolutions and to the approval of important laws both at a national and international level. Among them the first laws recognizing abortion as legal were adopted. Nowadays, at the beginning of the XXI century, these rights are undermined as are progressively becoming threatened: women are considered human beings only because of their ability to procreate. This is seen as the only possible realization for their identity. However, the reasons of this throwback were already concealed in the principles which inspired abortion laws. In these legislations, we can read the impossibility to act a real separation from the culture that sees in women’s natural irrationality the reason of their inferiority.
2020-01-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020 Violenza di genere. Strumenti giuridici e di contrasto 2020-01-17T10:34:30+00:00 Valentina Angeli
The aim of this article is to discuss gender violence legislation by analysing the existing jurisdictional application with an international perspective. By reviewing the conclusions and objectives proposed at the United Nations conferences, the author particularly focuses on the analysis of the causes determining gender violence. This paper highlights a cultural absence in identifying the underlying causes. These are exclusively considered as expression of social and gender power relationships determined by a patriarchal culture. However, the author draws the attention on the lack of a psychodynamic interpretation of this phenomenon. The article concludes by hoping for a future change of perspective in this direction which could represent a valuable cultural enrichment and therefore a potential social and effective antidote against gender violence.
2020-01-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020 La legge sulle donne. This absolute novelty has allowed to comprehend how the historically considered ‘outsiders’ – women, children and foreigners – have always been considered as humans to a lesser extent until recently.
2020-01-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020 Appena un po’ meno umane. This paper considers the knowledge acquired on this topic by discussing Fagioli’s Human birth theory and in particular the concept of annulment pulsion in relation to the psychosocial research on dehumanization carried out by Chiara Volpato in Italy. By looking at the female condition, the article examines the different forms of blatant and subtle dehumanization, underlining the need for a dialogue between psychosocial research and psychopathological and psychodynamic research on the topics of inhumanity and human identity.
2020-01-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020 Il rapporto uomo donna come confronto di identità: una riflessione sul periodo dal dopoguerra a oggi 2020-01-17T10:48:03+00:00 Giulia Ingrao
This articles proposes an analysis of the changes which occurred in the conditions of women in Italy during the post-war periods of the 1st and 2nd World Wars. Changes related not only to having achieved equality with men both at work and within the family, but also to the overcoming of stereotypes in which the female image was entrapped and desirous of an identity that would permit an evolution of the male-female relationship.
Progress made in the female condition starting from the Resistance including the achievements of the post-war period, without forgetting the freedom movements of 1968 and the 70s-80s, is considered. What becomes evident is the absence of research and a new way of thinking and understanding the mental reality of human beings. Vice versa, if we desire a true transformation we must learn to see the male-female relationship as two identities coming face to face with each other, where human sexuality does not constitute a reciprocal annulment nor an instinct for procreation, but a dialectic.
2020-01-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020
