Abstract

In this interview, given in July 2005 during a television program on the theme of envy, the psychiatrist Annelore Homberg explains Massimo Fagioli’s conceptualization of envy that puts it down to an aggressive drive that aims at destroying an object by negating its qualities and criticizes fiercely the Freudian concept of penis envy in that it has at its basis a stagnatingly negative vision of the female identity.
