Abstract

This article reports the opening speech of the convention “Man-woman relationship. A research on historical and social aspects.” which took place at the University of Foggia in 2005. In her speech, the author highlights how statistical research on the condition of female subordination and discrimination in the work, social and political field should be accompanied by a deeper research on the affective dynamics among human beings, in particular the one relating man-woman relationship.
